The Crooked Old House
By: Annalee De Jesús
Tattered, torn apart
there it was.
Always wanting to play
and give it a start.
Constantly rejection by neighbors
made her cry relentlessly.
One day there stood
a stunning house.
“Come with me, let’s sing,
all day down the town,”
said the gorgeous house.
Together they all
happily forever stayed.
